I do understand how this was only discussed between yourself and Arbitrage and didn't go any further. Like I said, though, it wasn't the entire reason for my decision. If the template needs to be changed, I would still be able to take care of that, if needed. There is no reason for you to feel "at fault" for this, at all.

Nothing in SL pays extraordinarily well, besides a few private businesses that did things exactly right. The other big reason for leaving is to focus on this other site that can make some serious RL money. All of the income from the site is based on residuals and there is no on-site advertising involved. The code for the functions I need on the site will have to be built by hand, though. Once that's complete, I'm sure there'll be plenty of time spent on tweaking it.

Considering that, I don't think that staying with SL Reports would be in my best interest or the best interest of the shareholders.

Strange, I realize that I do not pay you extraordinarily well. This is why many times I have avoided asking you to do things that I had thought about. I know that your work is fantastic, only overshadowed by the person behind the computer completing the tasks. My fault here is for not giving more consideration to the contracting of you to do the template for us... but to be honest at the time this was posted we had not selected anyone or even looked seriously into any options besides the random templates I showed you and Arbitrage... which I have not even looked into seriously. Arbitrage and I have basically only discussed this between the two of us.

I have no defense other than in reality I don't think that discussions into this matter really ever went far enough for us to count or discount anyone. I do take full responsibility for not bringing an upper-level staff member into this conversation earlier, though. If you haven't realized already one of my massive problems is that I refuse to delegate responsibility and keep too many things to myself.

I guess with your decision being made that all I can say on this eve of Thanksgiving is how thankful I have been for your hard work - where many times you went above and beyond - and how thankful I am to have had your friendship - which has been truly unsurpassed in Second Life... and in real life for that matter.
